Rev. Susan L. Worrell is an ordained Deacon in the United Methodist Church, a Licensed Professional Counselor, and a Certified Addictions Counselor. With over 25 years experience in the mental health and addictions fields she has addressed the needs of many individuals, couples, and families dealing with issues of addiction recovery, domestic violence, anxiety, depression, trauma, and grief and loss.
In 1998 Susan heard and responded to the Lord's call on her life to the ministry of the church. While pursuing the educational requirements of ordained ministry she served on the pastoral staff of the United Methodist Church of West Chester and the Paoli United Methodist Church. Currently, in addition to her ministry leadership at the United Methodist Church of the Open Door in Kennett Square, Rev. Worrell serves as the Ministry Director of Hope Christian Counseling and Retreat Ministries in West Chester, PA. This non-profit ministry offers expert guidance and companionship to those seeking healing from the past, spiritual nurture, and a future with hope. As a counselor, speaker, teacher, retreat leader, and minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ, Susan is committed to a ministry of healing and wholeness, mentally, physically, spiritually, and relationally.
